Sunday is Funday

We're teaching someone whose first day at church was yesterday, and to church he wore a shirt that said "sunday is my funday". It was the best!! When we make time for God on sunday, it really is super fun and blesses us in all aspects of our life.

We taught someone from Eritrea who speaks 6 languages. Here I am struggling to speak 1.5 languages haha
There were a lot of grill-outs this weekend, first weekend of 70s weather! Let's hope it continues.

Also got heaps of cinnamon rolls from Sister Steinback, s/o to Sister Steinback! They were delicious.

We also told Jerry that we needed hydrogen peroxide, so he dropped everything to run us some. Turns out we just wanted some to try and dye our hair lighter. It didn't work too well, I think my hair's the same color.

I was thinking this week about the blessings of the gospel. And as we stay on the path of discipleship, we gain more blessings than had we not. Peter ends his second epistle by saying: "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen (2 Peter3:18)". Part of the purpose of this life is to grow in grace, use Christ's grace to improve our owned flawed status to something more, and to improve in knowledge of our Savior, which knowledge can only come from the Holy Ghost.

Also, as the prophet Joseph Smith wrote: "18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.
19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come(D&C 130)."

I am so grateful and indebted to Jesus Christ for his atoning sacrifice that saved us from death. Now let's apply his grace and becoming something more than we can on our own, and overcome the natural man. I love you all, have a great week!
