Pizza and Proverbs

This week was pretty cool and successful. One of our friends we are teaching finally recognized that Jesus wasn't the one selling him drugs, and God is not the one who punched him in the face. Baby steps. We also got tricked, one of our friends told us to come over because he needed help with something but he actually just needed help "eating all of this pizza he accidentally ordered" oops, hopefully we don't fall for that one again ;)

We moved his couch for him and had a lesson anyways because we felt unproductive. Also this week some of our friends we were teaching got baptized it was so awesome!! We have totally seen a change in them, from distrusting God to coming to love the gospel, it is amazing! They even came out to some of our lessons on Sunday.

We had someone talk to us about pressing toward the mark. All sinning is is when we don't hit the mark. And all life is is getting back up again, trying again to hit the mark. Learning is part of life, so don't feel bad when you keep failing. Every time you get back up you get stronger. Maybe you won't succeed the 2nd time, or the 5th, or the 50th, but maybe the 100th or 200th. It's all about trying. The words of Rocky Balboa came into my mind during the lesson "It's not about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward" I loved this! Don't feel bad guys, nobody is perfect! Just keep trying Philippians 3:
13 Brethren, count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
