Hola from Iowa

So while on exchanges walking we talked to a great guy. He was drunk and proud of all of the beers he drank in just 2 days by himself, so he wanted us to take a picture with them. So that sort of explains the picture haha. Another reason to not drink, it hinders your photography skills.

We also had some baptisms this week, it was so awesome. Our branch missionary, Trevor, just got off of his mission in Taiwan. They wanted Trevor to baptize them, and so he did. When you baptize the words you say are "Having been commissioned of Jesus Christ, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Amen." But Trevor started saying it in Mandarin Chinese because it was just habit from his mission I guess hahaha but he stopped himself and did it in English. It was great.

Also, Elder Marte was translating the baptismal service. Our Young Women's leader was welcoming them to the Ward, and she continuously talked for a couple of minutes, forgetting to pause to allow Elder Marte to translate. He was just standing there having to remember what she said in the past 2 minutes to translate and he just said "y muchas cosas muy cheveres" which is like "and a lot of really cool things" hahaha no it was really a great baptismal service.
Bible videos are the best. One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism
